Another Ugly Day

She said "tomorrow's just another ugly day". It looks alright to me but she can look at it her way. Now the sun's gone down another time. She doesn't really care. Just draw another breath of ugly air.
She's the coolest girl I've ever met. But what's the use in being cool if you can't get out if bed? I guess gravity is a little stronger than it was before when she's lying sprawled out on her ugly floor.
The anger her affection circumvents will slice me when it's over like a rusted barbed wire fence and the little drops of blood from the bedroom to the door just clutter up this ugly day a little more.
She can read you like a magazine. She lives on cherry cough drops, THC and nicotine. Now her sleeping face is lit up where she's left the TV on. She'll lie peaceful there until the ugly dawn.
She said "tomorrow's just another ugly day".
